Last night I returned from being out of town on a short trip, and as punishment for leaving the cat she took the pleasure of photo bombing this session.

I've spent the weekend holed up in my apartment, leaving for coffee and groceries but not much else.

I could stay inside for days entertaining myself with books, cooking and things. Only occasionally slipping outside to reconnect with reality.

Vertical Stripe

It's unreasonable to expect anyone to shop only once year before the seasons change, but its exciting having new pieces when you're transitioning into a lifestyle change like a new school year.

So when this time of year sneaks around, i start storing all the little purchases i make for the mark when the shift finally comes.
Sort of a mid year Christmas.

This bag is this year's school bag.
I'm cheating a little, breaking it out early. In the Northwest, we like to start school quite a bit later than other areas in the states.

Evening Rays

As amazing as summer is, especially in Seattle, i can not wait for fall. I too live for cozy clothes and warm food, which may be a huge factor in my appreciation for this little city.

I'm back to craving black, maybe after seeing how i've infused my closet with so many light creamy colors.
I'm also trying to determine whether or not the dark denim available this fall is tip top on my want list because i've actually wanted the style for so long or if the brand stylists are just amazing at their jobs.... i may need to drop by H&M.
