Big Surprise!

It's raining.

I love how true Seattleites handle the rain. No hustle in their walk, no hood over their head. They just take it.

It's been one of those weeks where you're just too tired to do anything and i'm amused by my hair's ability to frizz.

I'm also in the process of deciding whether to take a nice walk and sit down for tea while I study or to stay in where there's a nice comfy bed.

The bed might win.

Ok, so this is an anything but a void of black outfit but today is an anything but spring day.
This rain is so romantic, i will only complain about it when it has rained for three weeks straight and by that point anyone would need some sun.

Animal Instinct

Starting to feel a little sick of black at the moment. Never thought i would hear myself say that, and i don't think i'll ever be able to completely void it out of my wardrobe, but we'll see how this translates into later posts. I'm willing to pin this ailment on spring. Sun and flowers and birds and bare feet and evening drives!

I saw a picture of Ms. Li the other day looking so wild, like such an animal.
It was wonderful. Unfortunately, all of her talent seemed to be used up on the first album.

This shirt is nearing the end of its life, though i can't quite find it in me to throw it out yet.

Signs of spring

There's nothing like yoga, a hot shower, coffee at Stumptown and math homework on a saturday morning. One day that to do list will be minus the homework plus gardening/sewing/baking/reading/taking the dog for a walk (yes, i'm a homemaker at heart).

I've been able to hide under my coat all morning, snuggled up in my chair. I love letting the back of my shirt come untucked, it makes me feel like i've been successfully moving around!

First day of classes for the quarter, and rather than dealing with more textbook/bookstore woes i'm going to stay inside out of the rain and make myself a birthday cake!
